Somatic massage, as it has now become referred to, is a massage that works with the emotional body and our responses as well as working on the physical body. I refer to it on this workshop as ‘Emotion-Aware Touch™’.
Learn how to provide a holistic healing experience for our clients. You are here to learn to support people through emotional responses that can come with touch. Hold a supportive space for clents to fully feel supported and held. You are doing it already, now is time to learn the why. Why the body reacts in an emotional response because of touch. REQUIREMENTS
You must be a fully quallified Massage Therapist or Body Worker with insurance to practice to attend this course. It is not a certification course. A chance to extend your skills as a Practitioner and offer Somatic Massage/Emotion Aware touch in your space. Proof of certification will be required to attend.
Additional offer of 3x Case Studies to be handed in up to 6 months after workshop date for the chance of extensive learning opportunity and commentary from a Somatic Trauma Therapist.
10 spaces - $1999 full weekend. $500 deposit is required to secure your slot. The further remaining balance will be invoiced and to be paid 2 weeks before workshop date. You will recieve your Theory booklet and downloads when full payment has been made.
This immersive weekend is designed for qualified and insured massage therapists. It is to extend your skills as a massage practitioner. It is not designed to qualify you as a Somatic Trauma Therapist. On this workshop we will be discussing topics that may bring up alot for people. Please be mindful of discussing topics that can be triggering for others. It is not a space for personal therapy. If you have any questions or have something you want to make me aware of please let me know before the immersive. Everyone on the course is in charge of working to their own capacity and creating a supportive space for people from all backgrounds. Please come with an open mind and compassion for difference. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.
